The national bikers' magazine RiDE came along for a Get Cornering day with me on Wednesday September 4th. When they called whilst I was on holiday it was a big surprise. I felt it was a privilege but at the same time my nerves were jangling a bit knowing that they tell it like it is.
Anyway, I ran the course with the journalist reviewing... READ MORE
Continued Practice
Sep 08, 2019
I went to Blyton Park recently, partly for fun and partly to makes sure I keep up my own skills practice. The course I attended with the British Superbike School was really well run and it was nice to let my hair down a bit from the constraints of road riding. I regularly participate in different kinds of courses to enure that my own continued professional development is up to date.

The Register of Post-Test Motorcycle Trainers
Mar 07, 2019
The Register of Post-Test Motorcycle Trainers (RPMT) It's a serious matter of safety. If you wouldn't risk your mate coming round to sort out the gas supply in your home then why would anyone ever risk their lives and that of others to an unqualified person who owns a motorcycle and take their advice as to how to ride it? I... READ MORE
Road Safety - 60 mph? 40 mph? 20 mph? Safe or not?
Mar 07, 2019
Just who makes these decisions about speed limits? It’s strange isn’t it? We have a professional driving and motorcycling industry in the UK, yet, decisions about speed limits are taken by those that apparently have little or no knowledge of driver and rider behaviour. Their decisions seem to be led by emotion rather than facts, frequently led by some perceived popular opinion, and sometimes led by individuals who have found themselves in a position of pow... Riding In The Wet
Mar 07, 2019
I looked out of the window this morning and saw the rain pouring down, yet again! It's Bank Holiday after all so what else should I expect? Oh well, this is England and it rains a lot. Not such a bad thing really when we consider the beautiful areas for biking that we have, made better by the green fields and the lush landscapes in different parts of the country. And when we take in Scotland, Ireland and Wales we have some of the best roads in Europe, if only we would do more riding in... READ MORE
Parking spaces for motorcycles!
Mar 07, 2019
Parking spaces for motorcycles, or should I say a lack of parking spaces to be more accurate, is one of those things that gets me thinking as to how society has got the understanding of motorcycles and their benefits, completely wrong. I read some statistics recently that highlighted research showing that if just 10% of drive... READ MORE
